She was born in Santa Monica California, the United States of America on November 26 in 1986. The singer is the sole child of Vincenzo Barba. Her family and she moved from Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was six years old. When she arrived in New Jersey, she finished her studies through Red Bank Catholic High School. Following her graduation of Catholic University with a Bachelor's in Architecture and a Master's in Architecture, she continued to study at the college. At the age of four when she started playing the violin, earning her the title Violin Girl. In recognition of her skills her performance, she received the name of Violin Girl. She was also a violin teacher for the youngsters in the area. For the sixth season of American Idol, she sang Free in the year 1976, when she was nineteen.
